Job Description: Web Designer (UX/UI)

A Web Designer (UX/UI) is responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional digital interfaces. This role combines aesthetic design skills with user experience (UX) principles to ensure websites and applications are both attractive and intuitive. The designer works closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into engaging, high-quality designs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. UX/UI Design

• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for websites and web applications.
• Ensure designs follow UX best practices (user flows, accessibility, responsiveness).
• Conduct user research (surveys, usability testing) to refine designs based on feedback.
• Maintain consistent branding, typography, and visual hierarchy across all designs.

2. Front-End Design Implementation

• Create pixel-perfect UI designs optimized for development handoff.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate design-to-code translation.
• Design interactive elements (buttons, menus, animations) for enhanced usability.

3. Tools & Software Proficiency

• Figma / Adobe XD – Primary tools for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
• Photoshop / Illustrator – Used for graphic design, image editing, and custom illustrations.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (preferred but not mandatory) to communicate effectively with developers.

4. Aesthetics & Usability Focus

• Balance visual appeal with functional usability to create seamless user experiences.
• Stay updated on design trends, UI patterns, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure designs are responsive (mobile, tablet, desktop) and cross-browser compatible.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects (web & mobile).
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Understanding of design systems, component libraries, and style guides.
• Knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments (collaboration with developers & PMs).
